2009 will prove to be a historic year for the healthcare system.  The year began with the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, followed by an unprecedented expenditure on health information technology, and this fall we expect to see the enactment of comprehensive healthcare reform, a vision that has eluded Presidents for 70 years. 

The Consortium's 31st Annual Conference: Meeting the Challenge to Transform the Healthcare System will feature three sessions that will directly address these issues:

  • the plans and prospects for healthcare reform
  • how to control healthcare costs
  • healthcare CEOs' assessment of these challenges for their organizations and yours

In addition, the program will offer presentations from our graduate student interns, a presentation on the Consortium's plans to facilitate EHR deployments using Web technologies, and a luncheon and recognition ceremony to honor our Board of Directors.
